Candle Materials
Wax
​Crafted from soybeans grown here in the United States, this plant‑based wax (Golden Brands 464) is the foundation of our candle line. It pours into a smooth, creamy finish and includes naturally derived soy additives that help keep frosting to a minimum while supporting a steady, reliable scent throw. It’s a clean, dependable wax trusted by makers everywhere — and one we’ve chosen for its consistency, simplicity, and beautiful performance in your home. Our waxes are free of paraffin, dyes, and unnecessary additives.
Wicks
We use CD (Stabilo) wicks — a cotton wick reinforced with slender paper threads. These wicks may be more expensive, but they’re also cleaner, safer, and more responsible. We’d rather invest in higher-quality materials than compromise on the integrity of our products. This simple, natural construction offers the best balance of performance and integrity for our wax blends. We choose CD wicks because they: stay upright and centered in soft natural waxes; support an even melt pool and steady flame; reduce common burn issues like weak flames or uneven melting; handle natural fragrance blends consistently; and contain no metal cores, zinc, or synthetic stiffeners. They’re clean, minimal, and honest—exactly what we want in a candle for everyday use.
Wick Stickers
​Our wick stickers are heat‑resistant, flame‑safe, and designed to keep the wick securely anchored throughout the candle's life. They’re made from simple, stable materials that perform reliably without introducing unnecessary chemicals.
Containers​
Our candles are poured into white swirled Sonoma Tumbler Jars, chosen for their durability, beauty, and the way they elevate the experience of candlelight. These vessels are made from thick, seamless glass — similar in weight and quality to a wine bottle — giving them a substantial, upscale feel that’s meant to be enjoyed long after the candle is gone.

The white and black swirl finish gently softens the glow of the flame, creating a calm, ambient light that suits any space. Their clean, versatile design complements a wide range of aesthetics, from cozy and romantic to modern and minimal.

These tumblers will serve as our signature jars, finished in a white and black swirl design, with seasonal colors introduced using the same swirling technique. Beyond their beauty, they’re reusable and recyclable, aligning with our commitment to thoughtful, low‑waste materials.

Balms & Body Product Materials

Base Ingredients
Our balms are crafted from a blend of plant‑based butters, oils, and natural waxes chosen for their skin‑loving properties and inherent stability. Each ingredient is selected for its nourishment, simplicity, biodegradability, and gentle everyday use.
While much of our base is plant‑derived, we also use beeswax for its exceptional structure and protective qualities. Beeswax creates a breathable barrier on the skin, helps lock in moisture, and gives our balms their smooth, stable texture without relying on synthetic thickeners or petroleum‑based ingredients. We source it with care, choosing suppliers who prioritize responsible beekeeping and the wellbeing of their hives.
As we continue to grow, we’re exploring a fully vegan alternative using candelilla wax, a plant‑based wax known for its firm structure and silky finish. It behaves differently than beeswax, so it requires thoughtful reformulation — but it’s a direction we’re excited about. Our goal is to offer a vegan option in the future without compromising the quality, feel, or performance you expect from Brimka Haus.
