Why These Ingredients?
- Pasture-Raised Tallow: The heart of our soap. Because tallow so closely matches our skin's natural oils, it delivers vitamins A, D, E, and K exactly where they are needed to support mature skin.
- 20% Superfat: We leave a generous amount of unsaponified tallow in every bar. This means it cleanses while simultaneously "resealing" your skin’s moisture barrier.
- Soft Lavender: Used at a lower concentration for a mild, soothing effect that calms the senses without being overpowering.
- White Kaolin Clay: Gives the lather a "silken" feel and gently draws out impurities while keeping the skin’s delicate balance intact.
- Castor & Coconut Oil: Balanced at 5% and 20% to create a bubbly, creamy foam that feels like a liquid lotion on the skin.
- Sodium Lactate & Sugar: Natural additions that ensure your bar stays hard and long-lasting in the shower while boosting those fluffy, comforting bubbles.

What’s Inside Our Gentle Lavender and Tallow Soap

Why we used these specific ingredients:
- Beef Tallow: We chose tallow as our primary fat because its fatty acid profile is remarkably similar to human skin. This allows the bar to nourish and protect your skin barrier rather than just sitting on the surface.
- 20% Superfat (The Beauty Factor): By leaving 20% of the oils unsaponified, we’ve created a "Cleansing Balm" in bar form. This extra tallow stays on your skin, providing deep hydration for mature or dry complexions.
- Coconut Oil: This provides the gentle cleaning power, creating a bubbly lather that lifts away impurities without being harsh.
- Castor Oil: A natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin and transforms the soap’s bubbles into a thick, creamy, lotion-like foam.
- White Kaolin Clay: Added for "slip," this gives the bar a silky feel and provides an ultra-gentle exfoliation that polishes the skin without irritation.
- Sodium Lactate: A liquid salt derived from the fermentation of sugars. It helps the bar stay hard and long-lasting while keeping your skin moisturized.
- Sugar: A natural lather booster that ensures the bubbles stay big, fluffy, and decadent.
