What’s Inside Our Traditional Tallow, Goat Milk, Oats & Honey Soap Bar
Ingredients: Saponified Beef Tallow, Saponified Coconut Oil, Saponified Castor Oil, Goat's Milk, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Raw Honey, Colloidal Oats.
Our soap is made with a thoughtful blend of intentionally gentle ingredients.
Why we used these specific ingredients:
- Beef Tallow: We chose tallow as our primary fat because its fatty acid profile is remarkably similar to human skin. This allows the bar to nourish and protect your skin barrier rather than just sitting on the surface.
- 6% Superfat: By leaving 6% of the oils unsaponified, we’ve created a "Cleansing Balm" in bar form. This extra tallow stays on your skin, providing hydration.
- Coconut Oil: This provides the gentle cleaning power, creating a bubbly lather that lifts away impurities without being harsh.
- Castor Oil: A natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin and transforms the soap’s bubbles into a thick, creamy, lotion-like foam.
- Goat Milk: Adds creamy proteins and natural fats for a gentle, skin-soothing wash.
- Raw Honey: A natural humectant that boosts lather and helps the skin retain moisture.
- Colloidal Oats: Finely ground oats to provide a soft, soothing touch and very mild exfoliation.
- Distilled Water & Sodium Hydroxide: Essential components used to transform oils into soap (none remains in the finished bar).
Each piece is unique, and minor variations in color, texture, or finish are part of the artisanal charm. We take care to describe any notable characteristics, but please note that slight variations are typical and expected.
